R v Evans 2020 OCJ

The CBC was successful in its application to lift a ban on the identity of the complainant where the Crown took no position and the accused was opposed.

Justice Latimer, of the Ontario Court of Justice, made a useful interpretation of Adams and concluded that consent from the Crown is not mandatory to lift a s.486.4 ban.
