The CMLA has been working with the University of King’s College and others on an initiative called Lawyers for Reporters Canada. This initiative will offer probono services to eligible local, independent journalists in Canada. This initiative will rely on a network of lawyers willing to donate their time to support and bolster an effective democratic news media ecosystem.
