Danielle Stone

Danielle Stone is Vice President of the Canadian Media Lawyers Association. She has been a volunteer and member of CMLA since 2006.

Danielle specializes in media law matters including: defamation, responsible communications, privacy, access to information, copyright, and confidential source issues. She has represented broadcasters, journalists, authors, and other publishers while working in private practice and as in-house counsel. She has done pro-bono work for artists and creators.

Prior to earning a law degree from the University of Toronto, Danielle obtained a bachelor of journalism (Honours) degree from the University of King's College and worked as an award-winning national investigative journalist.
