Yukon Chapter CPAWS v Government of Yukon 2014 07 03 SCY

Justice Veale, of the Supreme Court of Yukon, granted permission for filming of a portion of a civil trial.

Included in the conditions for filming was the directive that the footage may only be “used for news, current affairs, documentary or educational purposes”.

Veale J. also stated that “it remains in the discretion of the court to order that the recording be stopped if it is interfering with the proper administration of justice or becomes overly disruptive.”
